Live Performance with Libby Heaney (Artist and Quantum Physicist) and Nabihah Iqbal (Musician, Producer, DJ, Podcaster)
Musician Nabihah Iqbal and artist and quantum physicist Libby Heaney perform live in the immersive installation Ent-, a LAS commission on view at Schering Stiftung until 1 May 2022. Heaney and Iqbal are frequent collaborators, with the artwork’s soundscape composed by the latter. Both artists navigate through sound and image to offer audiences a dynamic experience and insight into Heaney’s artwork that investigates the potentials of future quantum technologies. As a continuation of their previous collaborations and explorations into the relationship between artificial intelligence, quantum technology and sound, the performance features Heaney navigating live the generative quantum world of her artwork in dialogue with Iqbal’s live music.

On the occasion of Libby Heaney's solo exhibition Ent-, LAS and the Schering Stiftung join forces to present a series of talks and live events to take place in the closing month of the show. Through a variety of formats, the programme brings together voices from the fields of art and science, and tackles the complexities of future quantum technologies. By fostering interdisciplinary bridges, the events further Heaney’s ambition to build a collective understanding of the potentials of the quantum age.
