Seating is available on all levels of the building. If you’d like to take breaks while exploring, feel free to use the museum chairs available throughout the building.
Service Animals
Service dogs are welcome, but other animals are not permitted inside the installation.
The Artwork
The installation is located on the first floor of the building. You can move freely throughout the space to explore the different elements. Please note that the suspended sculptures move, and that there is sound and changing lights, including flashing lights and strobe. It might be quite dark in some areas.
A 26-minute video is housed within a large kinetic sculpture. Inside, there is a spacious circular seating area, open on one side. Wheelchair users are welcome to enter through this opening and position themselves within the ring.
For those who prefer not to use the main seating — which requires bending down and reclining on your back — alternative seating options are available nearby or via our on-site team. We also invite you to experiment with gadgets like mirrors and mirrored glasses to comfortably view the video projection above the seating area. - For Visitors who are blind or have low vision
Please note that there is no natural light in the building. The installation uses changing, artificial lighting and strobe lighting in some moments.
From Wednesday, 26 February, onwards, we offer an audio description of Laure Prouvost’s WE FELT A STAR DYING via the GRETA app. We will shortly update this webpage with information on how to access this service in advance of your visit. - For Visitors who are deaf or hard of hearing
From Wednesday, 26 February, onwards, we provide closed captioning for the video and sound elements in the installation via the Panthea app. Please scan the QR codes in the installation to access this service. Printed copies of the captions are also available on site.
- For Visitors on the Autism Spectrum
Prepare for your visit using the social narrative (coming soon), which contains photographs and short descriptions of what to expect. Our sensory map (coming soon) shows you where to find areas that are likely quieter and less crowded.
Fidgets and earplugs are available at the ticket desk.
You can visit the learning space Entangled Currents to explore tactile samples of materials used in the installation. - Low-Sensory Hours
Every Tuesday from 15:00 to 18:00, you can visit the installation during hours with lower intensity.
During this time, the lighting is less contrasting and more consistent for better visibility, and the exhibition’s sound levels are reduced. All other elements remain unchanged, ensuring a full experience of the installation. - Admission
We offer discounted admission for visitors with disabilities. Holders of a ‘Schwerbehindertenausweis B’ or an international equivalent receive the discount, and accompanying persons are admitted free of charge.
